Jacqueline Jain – Founder & Director
A UCLA trained certified college counselor, Jacqueline is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC). She is also an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). Jacqueline is known for her ability to coach students to develop their strengths and present their best in the college applications, as a result, have sent many students to the colleges and graduate schools of their top choice (see admission result). Furthermore, having worked pro bono for both Lynbrook and Fremont High Schools, guiding students of diverse backgrounds to academic and extracurricular success, Jacqueline carries an expertise that exceeds the standard education counseling criteria. She conducts ongoing research, attends conferences and keeps in contact with admission officers to stay current with the admission trends. She has visited more than 70 colleges in the past six years; consequently, she has the extensive knowledge and insight to guide students to select colleges that best fit them. In addition to her professional experience, Jacqueline has raised three children of her own, supporting them through the application process and ultimately sending them to Harvard and the University of California, Berkeley, and is often referred to as the “Harvard Mom”. Jeff P. Wiguna – College Admissions Counselor
Jeff graduated with a B.S. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley. Bringing with him a strong background in sales, marketing and consulting, he is a strong believer in bringing out a student’s unique talents and capabilities in creating successful college admissions results, through every facet of the college application – from the resume to the applicant’s essays. Jeff has helped advised students to reach their college admissions goals, with successful admissions results to schools such as Stanford, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and UCLA.
Stephanie Jain – College Admissions Counselor
Stephanie graduated with a B.S. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. She has always been an advocate for higher education and has worked with students in several organizations throughout college. Working as a Supervisorat the Academic Services Center in Berkeley, she brings to Jacqueline Education experience in counseling students on essay, resume and cover letter writing.
Rachel N. – Education Consultant, SAT & Academic Tutor
Rachel graduated from Stanford with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Economics, Rachel’s knowledge and experience has made her a top test prep, math and science tutor. With over 6 years of tutoring experience, Rachel has refined her ability to break down complex topics so that students can understand them. Rachel is an accomplished SAT, SAT Subjects, and AP prep tutor, she strategically tailors each lesson to address and improve the weaknesses of her students. Outside of her academic and tutoring work, Rachel is an avid soccer and rugby player, and also loves getting a good workout on the basketball courts.
Nancy L. – Senior Essay Editor
Nancy has been an essay editor for over 15 years and has served on the admission committees in top colleges including Vanderbilt University and Columbia University, which gives her an insider viewpoint of what makes a winning essay. Lisa Kelly – Essay Writing Coach
Lisa graduated with a B.S in General Studies from The University of Michigan, studying environmental science, biology and literature. She spent the early part of her career working in academic research, with experience included technical writing, grant proposal and training personnel. To create an exceptional essay, even the best writers need an editor to refine their work. Lisa can help create that stand-out essay by working with the student to develop the focus, clarity and strength of their writing. With her feedback, encouragement, and support, the student will be able to polish their work and let their unique voice shine through.
Alex R. – Essay Writing Coach
Alex is a Rhodes Scholar Finalist and also a Marshall Scholar Finalist in 2010. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Cornell University with a B.A. in English Language and Literature. His writing has been featured in numerous academic and literary journals. Passionate about literature and human rights, Alex is the founder of a community organization that works with middle school and high school students on writing and social justice. He has also worked with adults and children on literacy issues in marginalized communities.
Kwadwo “Nana” O. – Essay Writing Coach
Nana has received a B.A. in History with Honors and a M.A. in History from Stanford University. He served as a student board member on Stanford’s Committee on Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid. He has also worked with students in various parts of the world with their college and graduate admission essays. Nana was a recipient of the 2011 James Birdswall Weter Prize for his departmental honors thesis. He has also had an essay published in the Stanford Journal of African Studies, and is a recipient of the Dean’s Award. Nana is an avid Manchester United fan, enjoys playing soccer, cricket, chess and tennis as well.
Tina is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz and the administrative backbone to Jacqueline Education Group. Immigrating from Europe to the United States, she is well versed in the immigration experience and familiar with the pressures facing immigrant families.
